About Hair Transplant

Direct Hair Transplant (DHT)

Direct Hair Transplant (DHT) also referred to as Direct Hair Implantation (DHI), is an advanced modification of the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method.

Who are ideal for DHT?

People with androgenic alopecia, which is the most common type of hair loss, make the best candidates for hair implantations. This condition is commonly referred to as male or female pattern hair loss.

How it works?

Your surgeon will remove hair follicles from a part of your scalp, usually the back of your head, and implant them into balding areas. These hair follicles will eventually grow new hairs.

Step 1: Administration of local anaesthesia

The patient was made to lie down on the operation theatre table in prone and supine positions for the complete ring block.

Step 2: Creation of recipient sites

While creating the sites, they are counted simultaneously and the sites equal to the number of planned grafts are made.

Step 3: DHT

Hair follicles removed from the donor site are implanted into the recipient sites.

FUE and DHI surgeries generally take about 8 hours to complete, but the exact time can vary depending on the number of hair follicles being transplanted. It can take 12 to 18 months to see the full results of the surgery.
